Chronicles of Wormwood is a six-part miniseries about a benevolent Antichrist called Danny Wormwood, and the attempts of both God and Satan to convince him to begin Armageddon. It was written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Jacen Burrows, published as a six-issue miniseries by Avatar Press in 2006-2007, and collected in one volume in 2007. Two sequels have been published - the one-shot Chronicles of Wormwood: The Last Enemy, drawn by Rob Steen, in 2007, and the miniseries Chronicles of Wormwood: The Last Battle in 2009.
Danny Wormwood is a cable TV executive, and as the Antichrist he has the power to change one thing permanently every day. He doesn't want to start Armageddon as he prefers to leave humanity to its own devices. He creates a talking rabbit called Jimmy as a sidekick. The series also features Jesus, reborn on earth to play his part in Armageddon, but who is mildly retarded as the result of police brutality while he was protesting against the war in Iraq, and a depraved Australian Pope called Jacko.
