Garfield Minus Garfield

Dan Walsh, aka Travors, is a cartoonist from Dublin, best known for the hit webcomic Garfield Minus Garfield.

He made his first attempts at comics at the age of ten, when he would write and illustrate stories with several endings, so the reader could choose how the story ended. He attended Sandymount High School and then went on to study art and play in bands for much of his 20s.

In 2006-2007 he created the webcomic The Beaten Track, a semi-autobiographical humour strip. In early 2008 Dan started the webcomic Garfield Minus Garfield, removing the character of Garfield from Jim Davis' strips and revealing the loneliness and existential despair of his owner, Jon Arbuckle. The strip was covered in the international press, received the endoresement of Jim Davis, and was published as a book in 2008.

He currently lives in Dublin with his wife Yvonne, Mila the cat and Fat-Ass the dwarf hamster, and works as an IT project manager.
