Dave Hendrick is the writer of the webcomics Downstairs, drawn by Pete Marry, The Symptoms, drawn by Will Sliney, and Rodney Tentakle, drawn by John Cullen. The Symptoms came 4th in the September 2009 Zuda competition. He is currently working on three new webcomics, details to be announced shortly, and a novel about life insurance, the apocalypse and the perils of baggage handling. His latest comic entitled Short Sharp Shlock is available from The Forbidden Planet Dublin and features 4 stories drawn by 4 different artists, (David O'Sullivan, Zak Kinsella, John Cullen and Pete Marry) with a cover by Eclectic Micks Stephen Mooney, Stephen Thompson, Will Sliney and Declan Shalvey and coloured by Jordie Bellaire. He was formerly one of the organisers of the Dublin City Comic Con. He lives in Dublin with an ever growing number of Hendricks.
