"How we Got the Rifles", Our Boys, 1914
George Joseph Monks (b. Dublin, 14 May 1879) (Geo. Monks) was an illustrator who contributed to Our Boys in the 1910s. He also illustrated books, including Aodh de Balcam's The Druid's Cave (1920). In addition to books, he illustrated for the Irish National newspaper The Shamrock.
