John Kennedy is an editorial cartoonist and children’s book illustrator from Strabane, Co. Tyrone.
After graduating from the University of Ulster in 1990 he spent the next fifteen years in Belfast carving out a career until he returned to Strabane in 2005. His work has been widely published in the USA and Europe, with his work appearing in The Irish Herald (USA), The Irish Gazette (USA), Irish Sunday Mirror, The Blanket, Londonderry Sentinel, Sunday Journal, Daily Ireland, Citizen Magazine, Fortnight magazine, and Channel 4, to name but a few of a quickly expanding list. He is currently working on a children’s book and a political cartoon book about Northern Ireland – both will be published in 2009.
