The Doings of Dudly was a comic strip by Fonn that ran three days a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, in the Belfast Telegraph from 2 August 1924 until 14 September 1925. Dudley was a posh chap who wore gaiters and a monocle and exchanged mostly verbal humour with people he encountered, from the young ladies he courted to tramps and children who accosted him in the street to foreigners he met on his holidays. After the strip ended, Fonn replaced it with a new strip, Button's Biography, which ran at the same frequency.
