The Magpie: a Journal of Humour and Satire was a weekly satirical magazine published in Belfast, beginning in September 1898. In 1900 it changed its name to The Belfast Critic, better known as the Magpie. It was edited by "Nomad", aka Alf S. Moore, until July 1899, after which the pseudonymous "Argonaut" took over, while Moore founded Nomad's Weekly. Cartoonists who contributed to it included Norman Morrow, Matt Sandford and David Wilson.
