The Moon Looked Down and Laughed is a graphic novel by Malachy Coney and Paul J. Holden, published by Fantagraphics Books in 1997. Part of Coney's Holy Cross series of stories set in the eponymous district of north Belfast, it is the story of a sensitive young writer who commits a murder for what he believes are the right reasons.
