The Story of Amelia Earhart: The First Woman to Fly Solo Across the Atlantic is a 40 page historical graphic novel, published in 2007, written by Felicity McCall and drawn by Joe Campbell, retelling Amelia Earhart's pioneering flight from Newfoundland, intending to reach Paris but actually landing at Ballyarnett, County Londonderry, in 1932. In 1912 Uproar Comics published an expanded version, Amelia Earhart - First Lady of Aviation, consisting of an updated version of the original, plus "A Day in May", written and drawn by Campbell, retelling Earheart's stay in Derry, based on eyewitness accounts.
