Ugly Shelley (subtitled "Tales of ugly ducklings that change into beautiful creatures") is a 2008 comic by Roger Philbin, protesting about the development of the N3 motorway through the Tara/Skryne valley, near the hill of Tara, and the smoking ban in pubs. Written and drawn in a children's picture book style, albeit with copious swearing and a bit of sex, it depicts the motorway protestors as quasi-pagan environmentalists using magic against evil digger drivers, and building a pub they can smoke in.
